Night In

Chinese take-out had been eaten in mass quantites, the cartons and wooden chopsticks still hanging out on the coffee table as they watched the end of their movie. Gus was lounging with his legs up on the sofa, Shawn stretched languidly between his thighs with his head on Gus' belly.

"Feel like heading to bed?" He asked quietly, stroking his fingertips gently over Shawn's brow - teasing back a few shaggy strands of hair that would no doubt be cut soon.

"Mmm. In a minute."

He's perfectly comfortable where he is, but he knows Gus gets cranky when he uses him as his personal throw pillow.

Only because he gets wiggly in a bad way.

"You just want me to give you a scalp massage." He rubs a little harder, running his fingers over his partner's hairline.

As opposed to wiggly in a good way. Which is usually what happens after they go to bed.

"Not gonna argue with that."

"As if you would." Gus grins, slowly working his fingers back through Shawn's soft post-bath hair. "You're gonna need to get your hair cut soon."

He rolls his hips slightly, one arm wrapping tightly under Shawn's arms and across his chest as the other continues with the gentle massage.

"Mmmhmmm."

He leans into the touch. "You should really add 'human throw pillow' yo your resume."

... as with so many things, it made sense in his head.

"Mmmhmm, keep telling yourself that while my legs fall asleep and you have to carry me to bed."

He rubs slightly harder, making small circles on his scalp.

He nudges his side as he sits up.

Gus leans down and catches him before he sits up fully, pressing a kiss to his forehead before wrapping his arms around Shawn's chest.

"I only do it because I can."

"mmmhmmm."

They're totally wrapped around each other's fingers. Which is perfectly okay as far as Shawn is concerned.

"So. Bedtime?"

"About an hour ago." Gus presses another kiss against the side of his head - catching the tip of his ear. "You still smell like mangoes."

He sneaks in a kiss of his own, managing to land on the side of Gus's head.

"You love it."

Grinning ear to ear with the gentle kiss, Gus squeezes him even harder and rocks them slightly on the narrow sofa. "You know that's right. Mmm."

He inhales again, "Mangoes, a little bit of vanilla... kung pao chicken, Heineken, and just the slightest hint of chocolate. You've been sneaking my truffles again, haven't you?"

He wraps his arms around Gus's waist, leaning against his chest.

"Only the gross ones. I'm doing you a favor, really."

"They're Godiva, Shawn. There are no gross ones." He glares at him, mostly playfully. "The only favor you're doing me is taking on my extra two pounds."
